How does it work?
Step 1. Pre filtration
Large / coarse grain contaminants are filtered out before reaching the pump.
Step 2. Mechanical
Chemical, sediment, rust and algae, filtered down to a size 40 TIMES LESS that the thickness of a human hair. Carbon grain inside the filter also improves taste. A single cartridge with three stages of filtration in one.
Step 3. UV
Ultra violet light does the job of sterilising water so that bacteria and viruses are “broken” 99.99% of the time. Using LED technology instead of traditional fragile, toxic, energy hungry mercury lamps, this quality USA made UV system works only when water flows through, and goes to sleep when water stops flowing.
Step 4. Conditioning
The problem with hard water, or water that has a heavy mineral content, is that it becomes very hard to palette. The taste can be foul even though it’s filtered. Higher Flow Rates
A flow rate between 8 – 11 litres per minute should be expected. Pressure is usually around 40 – 60 psi making this suitable for supplying caravans and using portable hot water units.
Long Run Times
Using a 4.0 AH 12 volt Milwaukee battery, you should have about 40 – 50 minutes of constant usage before recharging batteries, or switching batteries or power supply. You will have more operational time using 18 volt batteries.
Durable
These units are built to be packed into a ute tray with other camping gear. They are resistant to rain and splashing. Don’t fret if water gets inside the case, light splashes / water spray won’t hurt it, and with built in drain holes, excess water will drain out.

Yes of course. Each unit comes with space built in to store one battery and one battery charger. Or as an option, we can supply Milwaukee batteries and charger as well in 12 or 18 volt.
We always recommend a flowing water source like a river, or creek or spring. You can use a still water source like a pond or dam, but you will need to be sure that it’s not a source of water topped up by a bore. You can also use mains water supply for this unit as well.
We do not recommend this be used with bore water supply source. The problem with bore water is the mineral content and the dreaded iron bacteria. These are very difficult to filter out and make safe for human consumption in a portable format. Bore water can change composition suddenly or over time and can become dangerous even sometimes for animals and plants. It’s not recommended or encouraged that you drink bore water.
Yes, it can stand up to some impact, and some accidental falls, and it may even last a catastrophic accident, but nothing lasts forever. Take care of it, and it will last you a very long time. This is designed to be passed down to the next generation. No formal testing has been completed to determine what standard it could conform to for impact testing.
